Caversham Artists Exhibition at More Arts Twyford – 28th October – 27th November.

We are pleased to share the dates of our next show at the new More Arts Gallery on Station Road in Twyford.

The gallery will be open from  Friday 28th October – Sunday 27th November 2011, Fridays 4 – 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays 12 – 4pm. During this time the participating artists will be available if you have any questions or would like to find out more about them. All items on show will be for sale.

There will be a variety of paintings, decoupage furniture, ceramics, jewellery, woodwork , sculpture, printmaking, photography prints and more. Participating artists are  Julie Simmonds; Louise Spiers; Sonia Olaniyan;Mary Phelan;  Lauren Denney;  Peter Quarmby; Nicola Duncan;  Anne Webster;  Roger Smalley and Beverley Bartlett.

The full address is 20 Station Road, Twyford, RG10 9NT. It’s very close to the train station and there is parking nearby.

We can also confirm that our Caversham Artists Christmas Show is going to take place at the Old Fire Station Gallery in Henley-on-Thames from 1st to 6th December 2011.

Don’t forget there are some other exciting local events that some of the Caversham Artists Members are participating in.

Craft in Focus is taking place at Wellington College between 28th and 30th October.

MERL (Museum of English Rural Life) Traditional Craft Fair – 5th November.

South Hill Park Craft Fair – 19th & 20th November.

All I want for Christmas 28 & 29 November 2009

Thanks to everyone who came along on Saturday and Sunday and braved the winter weather. We raised a total of £32.81 from mince pie sales, this will be donated to Berkshire Womens Aid. Thanks to Mary Lomas for making the very tasty mince pies.

Handmade local arts & crafts for the perfect Christmas gifts.

Saturday 10am – 5 pm – Sunday 11am – 5pm

All I Want For Christmas is taking place at the New Directions Centre, School Lane,  Caversham, Reading, RG4 8HX on 28 & 29 November 2009.

There will be Ceramics, painting, furniture, wood, jewellery, weaving and lots more locally produced handmade art and crafts for sale.

On both Saturday and Sunday tutors from New Directions courses will also be showing and selling their work.

New Directions will be running pottery drop in sessions from 11-3  each day. These will run on a first come first served basis so get there early to avoid disappointment.
