David Pope
The recent ceramic work I’ve made has firmly been centered on the craft of throwing itself. My pots are glazed using various ashes and clays sourced from around Berkshire. The pieces are fired to stoneware.
I draw much inspiration from aspects of traditional ‘folk’ pottery, endlessly trying to unlock the knowledge of those unknown craftsmen.
